Open Doors

Acteal woman

There are over 200 million reasons to get behind Open Doors. Today, over 200 million Christians are persecuted for loving Jesus.

Persecution against the global church is on the rise and Open Doors is right on hand helping persecuted Christians in over 45 countries in whatever way possible.

Open Doors passionately believes that every Christian has the right to a Bible and a right to spiritual and practical support from other Christians around the world.

underground

underground is the youth division of Open Doors – and we’re passionate about raising the profile of persecuted Christians, who don’t have the freedom to read the Bible, or to meet with other Christians…

We want to mobilise young people (13-20 year olds) all over the UK and Ireland to help tackle persecution against Christians. As much as possible we want to keep young people informed, but more than that we want young people to take action on behalf of persecuted Christians. It’s time to take freedom seriously. We can’t sit back and do nothing… action needs to be taken.

Getting involved in underground is an opportunity to connect with the global church. This is something the Bible calls every Christian to do – underground gives people that chance.

UNDERGROUND VISION

Our vision is to inspire and motivate young people in the UK and Ireland to get serious about their faith in Jesus as they respond to make a difference for persecuted Christians around the world.

Our desire is to see young people develop a passion for persecuted Christians - to remember, to reflect and to respond:

  • remember - keep persecuted Christians in mind
  • reflect - mirror, copy the passion so many persecuted Christians show for Jesus
  • respond - react, take action when you hear outrageous things happening to Christians.
